Salad Dressings

Ranch Dressing
Yield: 1 1/3 cup

I am amazed at how much children love the store-bought “ranch” dressing.  So I think my recipe comes pretty close to what’s in the store it’s just made with nothing but real stuff.  I mean, have you really looked at the ingredients in the store-bought variety?  I honestly don’t know what more than half of those chemicals are.  So, just keep it real, honey and make your own…plus it’s cheaper!

Ingredients:

1 medium garlic clove, minced
3/4 cup full-fat Greet yogurt
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 small scallions, minced
2 teaspoons minced fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill
1  1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
½ teaspoon sea salt & a few pinches
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Procedure:

Just whisk everything together in a bowl and then transfer to a glass jar and it will keep in the fridge for a week if you used fresh ingredients in this recipe.

Notes:

Double the recipe especially if you have big “ranch” eaters…as most households do.If you want to thicken this dressing then just add some real sour cream.
