Community Food Advocates is a movement of farmers, parents, students, persons of faith, community gardeners, and health advocates united by a commitment to the idea that all members of our community should have access to food grown in a way that promotes the health of people, planet, and community. The Slow Food in School initiative is a network of community-based youth food education projects that ranges from schoolyard gardens, to cooking classes, to farm to school initiatives. Each specific program offers children hands-on opportunities to explore where their food comes from.

Chef Ann is known as the "Renegade Lunch Lady" and has spent much of her life trying to change the way kids are fed in school. She has authored numerous books and spoken on the subject all over the country.

The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund is made up of farmers and consumers joining together to protect the constitutional right of the nation’s family farms to provide processed and unprocessed farm foods directly to consumers through any legal means, protect the constitutional right of consumers to obtain unprocessed and processed farm foods directly from family farms, and to protect the nation’s family farms from harassment by federal, state, and local government interference with food production and on-farm food processing.
